The Coastal Conservation League is sponsoring a Video contest titled Music with a Message. They have several videos posted on their website for viewing. The top three winners will receive cash prizes of $500, $250, and $100, as well as a performance slot on the main stage at the 2009 Green Fair. In addition, the grand prize or top music performance winner will receive a day of professional studio time at Awendaw Green Studios. All winners will be heavily publicized in Green Fair promotions, including advertisements in the City Paper.

Shows Canceled on Aug 14th, 15th and 16th due to road troubles. We are bummed not to be going back to the Big Apple but are already planning on another trip. Currently we are making Lemonade out of Lemons and scored a recording session at the Awendaw Green studio for tomorrow afternoon. Sweet! We are hard at work bringing our next album effort to all of Y’all sooner than we had expected!!! So look out!!!

We just got back from Floyd Fest and are currently working on a new album at Hill Creek Studio in Asheville NC.  We are super stoked about opening for Grupo Fantasma on Thursday July 30th at the Grey Eagle Asheville NC.  We had a chance to see these guys at Floyd Fest and they were awesome.  Don’t miss a chance to see these guys.  We will be going on at 9pm so don’t be late.

Friday night July 31st we will be returning to Gottrocks of Greenville SC.  This a great venue with great sound and great food and did I mention that it is great!  Come down or up we don’t care just come and have a good time with us.  We are fired up from recording and ready to lay it out there.

Getting Geared up for the show on Saturday July 11th at the Windjammer with a stop in Hilton Head SC July 9th and a stop in Savannah GA July 10th.

Next week we will be hitting North Carolina starting with a show Thursday July 16th at the Carolina Beach Boardwalk. Followed by a quick trip to Wilmington NC Friday July 17th at the Wild Wing Cafe.  Pray for surf it has been a while.

We are very excited to return to the Double Door of Charlotte NC on Saturday July 18th. This a famous venue that has had its stage graced by many legends and we are looking forward to another intimate night of music.

Its time to get your tickets for Floyd Fest July 23rd-26th.  This is going to be an amazing weekend located on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd Virginia.  I have seen the property and it is gorgeous.  It would be a mistake to miss this.  We will be playing a number of sets all through the weekend including a children’s show and many guest performers!!!  Click and Get Tickets Tickets Tickets Tickets

Hello friends.  Sol Driven Train has been on vacation for the last week enjoying friends and family and a break from the road.  Hope everyone had a great celebration for the Fourth of July.  The band is rested and ready for our home town show at the Windjammer Isle of Palms SC on July 11th.  Bring your party pants cause we are going to be ready to get down!!

We have been on the road doing it right.  Sleeping in Eno Hammocks and enjoying Whitewater Mondays.  Thanks to Justin, Linc, and Jesse for getting us on the river the last two weeks.  We look forward to doing Clear Creek on Monday with Shehar.  We will be making the long trek back across Kansas to the south land on Tuesday with a stop in Arkansas.

If you have friends in Denver send them our way tonight at Owsleys.  The show starts at 9pm.

Come out to the Harbor Hilton Marina and rock out on the point with us.  You deserve a cold beer after a hard week of work.

Come on out to main street and enjoy some live music at the Hilton.  Show is at 6pm so leave work and come relax with us.

We will be at The Blind Tiger in Greensboro, NC on April 15th.
This will be our first visit to to Greensboro and we want it be a successful one.
