Hello Friends



Well it finally happened. Sol Driven Train has missed our first gig ever. Since 2000 we have never missed a gig completely. Sure we have been late a few times, but never have we failed to show up.



This past Thursday we were on our way to Milledgeville GA when the bus broke down in none other than Bowman South Carolina at the exact same gas station that we previously had to replace a starter just in the nick of time to make our gig in Black Mountain North Carolina. Unfortunately this time the repair took a little longer (like eight hours or so) and we were unable to make the show. Instead we returned to the Charleston Pourhouse and Rusty treated us to a round of Patron and Car bombs to drown our sorrows.



I would like to thank Curley the kind gentlemen that gave me a ride to the nearest Advanced Auto parts store in order to purchase the fuel pump that was needed to mend our chariot. Also to the man at the pump who assured me I could not install the part in the wrong way, unlike the unclear diagram that warned of destroying the engine if we placed the rocker arm over the engine cam. After a long cold night and several moments of total despair, we started the bus and sighed with relief. Never a dull moment on the road, besides after three weeks off we needed a little excitement. It would have been too easy just to drive to the gig and make some much needed money!!!!!!
