NYE Run and thoughts on 2008
Hey Y’all,
Sol Driven Train is enjoying a brief respite from the road, and we are excited to have two shows coming up in Charleston. 2008 has been a year of exciting growth and transition for the band. We released our 4th cd, Lighthouse, to great reviews. We just finished a great first run out to Colorado, and our reception was warm, despite the snow. Our longtime drummer, Phill Eason, stepped down from the band this year to focus on family and fatherhood. Wes Powers took his place and is doing a fantastic job behind the set. We signed a contract with Degy Booking, and they are working hard to break down doors for us. We recorded a new children’s cd, and it’s set for release in January. All in all, we’re very grateful for all the opportunity to make music everyday, and we appreciate everyone who has supported our dreams.

Colorado To Florida
Woke up this morning and loaded the bus for the drive from South Carolina to Colorado. Uh oh. Russ noticed that one of the wheels on our trailer had blown it’s bearing. Can’t drive on that, and it’s Sunday so the trailer repair shop is closed. So Russ and Ward with some expert help from Russ’s dad Tim Clarke set to rebuilding the bearing in the rain. Unfortunately we couldn’t find all the necessary parts from the local auto parts store, so we have to delay our departure until the morning. Looks like it’s going to be a non-stop drive to Colorado. Hope to see you or your friends when we get there:
