Sol Driven Train Show Case

After a month off from the road, Sol Driven Train is gearing up to tour again this fall. On July 19th we finished our summer tour in front of a huge crowd at the Windjammer. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us and wish the best to Phill Eason. The Windjammer show was his last with us, as he is shifting gears and awaiting the birth of his second child this fall.

After the big show at the Jammer, we all took off in different directions. Rusty headed to Cincinnati to spend some time with his folks. Ward headed to the Pacific Northwest with his girlfriend for some backpacking and sightseeing in Washington and British Columbia. Russell hit the beach in San Diego with his girlfriend. I headed up to Brevard, NC to work at Camp Gwynn Valley. I spent my time there recording with pianist Debbie Debord and a bunch of singing kids, laying down material for another kids album. Look for it this fall, hopefully we’ll have it wrapped up in time for the holidays.

I am feeling refreshed and excited to get back on the bus. For the next few weeks we’ll have our friend Jared Roy from West Virginia behind the drum kit. We met Jared on tour in his home state, and we’re honored to have him with us.
