Happy New Year

Happy New Year! 2007 was a great year for us. We played tons of shows, met lots of interesting people, spent long hours on the bus driving around the country, and recorded a new album (due out soon…). We’ve faced joys, disappointments, and tragedies and stood together as a family. We’ve grown musically and as a team, and our hard work has paid off with some memorable shows and trips.

We are excited about the year to come, but deeply saddened by the loss of Beasy Buckheister, Ward’s father. Please keep the Buckheister family in your thoughts and prayers.

Charleston Habitat for Humanity

Charleston Habitat for Humanity presents a Mardi Gras
Celebration with Sol Driven Train and Cary Ann Hearst
at the Sottile Theatre on Fat Tuesday, February 5 at
7:00pm. Friends and musical guests will join Sol
Driven Train on stage at the Sottile to raise money
for Charleston Habitat for Humanity. A portion of the
proceeds from this musical tribute to Louisiana will
go to the New Orleans Musician’s Village, a Habitat
project to provide housing for musicians displaced by
Katrina. “Laissez les bons temps rouler!”

We’d appreciate any help getting the word out about
this event. The bridge 105.5 is helping with radio, and
we’re doing a tv spot on ABC Channel 4′s Lowcountry Live @ 10am on monday, February 4th.

In other band news, our studio album “Lighthouse” is
being mixed at Fusion Five Records. We’re looking
towards a february or march release date.
